As part of the PowerShell Bangalore User Group (PSBUG) meet held yesterday, I had the chance to do my very first session. Although I was quite nervous, I was very excited to talk about PowerShell which is something I really love.
I presented about visualizing data using Microsoft Chart Controls. I feel most administrators understand the benefits of automation but, fail to showcase these improvements in an effective manner. This is where MS Chart Controls step-in, as I believe that visual medium is the most effective way to drive a point; like they say, ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’.
I started off the presentation with a simple example, looked at the underlying components of the chart objects and then moved onto building charts from CSV files and XML files. We closed off the presentation with a small demo on SeeShell.
The slides for the presentation are embedded here but, can be picked up from slideshare as well. The scripts used for the demo can be found here.
